Calling All Disabled Harmonica Players

Being a disable harmonica player, with hand disabilities, I would be interested to hear from other diasabled players to hear about their disabilities how they got over them to play the harp. You may post to this blog or contact me by email through my website.

My New Harmonica Microphone

Being a disabled harmonica player, I have great difficulty on holding a harmonica (harp) and a microphone at the same time.

Over a period of time I have tried different mics with varying success. Up till now the easiest for me to use was the Strnad as it clamped onto the harp. However the sound was not that brilliant.

I have since come across a mic manufactured in the States by Applied Microphone Technology. Although more expensive than the usual harp mics (Green Bullet, Bluesblaster et al) it comes from a good pedigree of instrument mics used by guitarists, violonists and saxophonists and clips directly onto the harp.

I will let you know on further posts how I get on with it and if successful may even be selling them from my website.
